Set Your Child Up for Success This Year
Our parents only Back to School Night on September 15 covers a lot of ground. Most of it comes down to one idea. The small choices a family makes at home shape how independent a child can be at school.
A lunch box a child can't open quietly takes away a chance for that child to do something alone. So does a backpack too heavy to carry. We'll bring samples: a rest mat and bag sized for little hands, and a water bottle with a handle a child can manage. None of this is about being fancy. It's about giving your child the tools to succeed on their own.
We'll also share a preview of winter gear that holds up to a Minnesota season. And we'll give a gentle warning about the after school tiredness many families notice a few weeks in. It's common, and knowing to expect it helps.
This year, every family will complete a fresh enrollment packet as we move to a simpler, three year system. After this round, most families will just sign and date each year.
We'll close the night with time to connect. Building this community matters just as much as covering the logistics.
