Trunk or Treat at Wayland Montessori
We're getting ready for a lighthearted afternoon of costumes, decorated trunks, and treats!
Wayland Montessori's Trunk or Treat will take place on Friday, October 30, from 5:00-5:30 p.m. in our parking lot. This is a family event for our school community, and younger and older siblings are welcome to participate.
How it works
Parents are invited to decorate their trunks and share treats with the children. Families may offer stickers, bubble wands, fruit, or another small treat of their choice.
Children who leave at regular pickup can change at home and come back in costume. Children staying for extended care may bring their costumes to school, and our guides will help them get ready.
Keeping it comfortable for young children
We want this experience to feel friendly and fun, especially for our youngest children. Please choose costumes that aren't scary and leave weapons and costume props at home. Children may bring a Halloween bag or basket to collect their treats.
A choice for every family
We know our families have different traditions and beliefs. Trunk or Treat isn't meant to impose a holiday on anyone, and participation is completely optional.
For families who choose to join us, this event gives children an opportunity to experience costumes and trick-or-treating with familiar people in a familiar place. We'll keep it simple, warm, and focused on enjoying time together as a community.
We hope to see you there!
